  • Assist the Behavioural Economics unit within Nedbank Retail and Business Banking in applying behavioral science to design and implement enhanced money management solutions for clients across the bank.
  • Conduct research, design behavioral interventions, and conduct business experiments to evaluate the impact of proposed solutions on client behaviors.
  • Conduct literature reviews on existing behavioral science evidence related to financial decision-making and relevant behavioral interventions.
  • Effectively package and communicate findings of primary and secondary research to various business units.
  • Provide training to business units on relevant behavioral insights.
  • Support efficient knowledge management and curation of primary and secondary research through an online library and internal newsletter.
  • Meet the needs of internal and external clients by delivering original, quality research.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients through continuous engagement.
  • Contribute to a culture aligned with transformation goals by participating in initiatives that build Nedbank’s culture.
  • Ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met by managing research databases and consultations with the Compliance Division.
  • Position the BE Unit as a valued business partner through proactive engagement and networking with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and manage vendor relationships through engagement focused on business needs.
  • Monitor performance by aligning contributions with departmental plans and expected outcomes.
  • Utilize resources by prioritizing available resources against stakeholder and regulatory requirements while considering cost.
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with the team and stakeholders during formal and informal interactions.
  • Support the achievement of business strategy, objectives, and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plans to ensure delivered systems, processes, services, and solutions align.
