The Public Investment Corporation SOC Ltd (PIC) is extending an invitation to South African students to apply for the Bursary Programme for the academic year 2024.

These bursaries are specifically aimed at candidates who exhibit innovative business potential and can demonstrate a genuine need for financial support.

Eligibility The PIC bursary will be awarded to students who are planning to enroll in their first qualification at the undergraduate level. Postgraduate and secondary qualifications will not be funded.
Applicants must be South African citizens and not older than 25 years of age. During the shortlisting process, the following criteria will be considered:
- Preference will be given to applicants with disabilities
- Matriculants with a minimum of 60% pass in each subject
- Tertiary level applicants with a minimum of 60% pass in each module and an overall average of the most recent results
- Admission to a South African Public Accredited Institution of Higher Learning
How to Apply
- Complete all mandatory fields (*)
- Ensure all supporting documents are certified (certified copies must not be older than 3 months at submission)
- Applicant and Parent/Guardian signatures required (in the case of minors)
- Incomplete, falsified, uncertified, or invalid applications will not be considered
Supporting Documents Checklist
- Completed application form
- Valid RSA identity document copy
- Proof of disability (medical certificate)
- Academic transcripts (if currently enrolled at an accredited tertiary institution)
- Matric Certificate (or Grade 11 and June results if currently in Grade 12)
- Copy of signed student study loan agreement or contract (if applicable)
- Preliminary acceptance letter(s) from an accredited tertiary institution
- Quotation (tuition, books, accredited accommodation, and meals)
- Proof of monthly household income and dependents
Bursary Terms The bursary covers the entire academic period at a single academic institution.
